Agua Dulce Beach Resort

Lovely beach at a hotel that's seen better days. The pool is nice and the AC works well. Beds were particularly uncomfortable with only a thin top and bottom sheet and a thin bedspread, no mattress pad, and a spring mattress where every spring could be felt. Surely there must be somewhere else to stay.

Stayed here Wednesday 24th January 2024 no WiFi in the rooms the restaurant set up was out of faulty towers the food very unprofessional and poor service everything came wrong after we had preordered I have never seen a more dysfunctional restaurant in my years of travelling

We *definitely* plan to stay here again on our next trip! Agua Dulce staff: Thank you!!! 5 Stars – For their price category! It’s a wonderful little spot! You can’t expect a flawless castle for this price! Rooms are spacious, well kept and very clean. Mattresses are super comfy, AC is powerful and works well. We were here in Dec 2021; top COVID time, so it was very quiet, can’t comment on noise through walls, etc. It was nice and quiet. Staff are all very friendly, professional, and helpful. They helped recommend a local tour guide agency for Corcovado; Sarcos Tours, and we couldn’t have been happier with Sarcos! The vibe was good, pool was very clean, and we hung around and swam for a few hours one night. It was nice and chill, quiet, people all enjoying, but respectfully. We were surfing, and they didn’t have a problem with our boards in the rooms to prevent theft from our roof rack, as long as we rinsed them well first and put them carefully on the floor, not leaned on the walls. Important 1: The resto: We didn’t dine here. The reasons are complicated, and we don’t feel it would be fair to the chef or resto staff to comment here. It might in fact be great! Bottom line: We’d recommend considering giving the resto a shot, but we ***do not*** recommend staying here without a vehicle, and ability to skip the resto, and eat all meals in town if you chose to, as we did. We don’t recommend planning such that you are “stuck with” this resto as your only option, for anymore than a one-night stopover. AD: 5 Stars AD + Resto: Unknown… Important 2: The Wifi only works in the lobby; not the rooms. However, on our entire 2 wk trip across CR, we found this in almost all hotels, including a couple very high-end hotels. You have to adjust mentally to “CR Wifi” for your trip, or you’ll be frustrated the whole time! So it doesn’t really make sense to hold this against AD! : ) If you need constant connection, a local SIM card, or international coverage from your carrier, is *essential*. You can’t count on Wifi anywhere in CR that we found.

Situé à l ' écart de Puerto Jimenez , 10 minutes en 4 X 4 . La piscine est bien entretenue , la mer est située à deux pas avec une plage magnifique. Le personnel est attentif , diligent et propose des randonnées dans le parc du Corcovado. Le restaurant Makai , intégré dans l hotel , est bien dans l ' ensemble . Nous y mangions et y prenions le petit-déjeuner.

De kamers zijn erg schoon, groot zwembad. Of het zwembad ook schoon is hadden wij onze twijfels over (stilliggend water). Aan het einde van de middag lag een laagje viezigheid op het water. Er is geen koelkast aanwezig, maar je mag van het hotel ook geen eigen drankjes of eten nuttigen in het hotel (alleen eten en drinken van het restaurant). Het personeel is aardig, maar sommigen waren een beetje ongemakkelijk en staarden. Ook serveert het restaurant geen typische Italiaanse gerechten (zoals de website dit wel aangeeft). Overigens zit er ook niemand ‘s avonds. Rustige mooie locatie.

Schade, dass das Hotel nicht besser geführt wird. Die Lage wäre wunderbar. Wir können dieses Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen. Die Beach-Bungalow sind sehr geräumig, sind leider jedoch kaum möbliert. Im Schlafzimmer gibt es nur eine kleine Ablage und 3 Kleiderbügel, kein Schrank - nichts. Im Wohnzimmer gibt es eine Polstergruppe. Somit hat man die Wahl: entweder für die Kleider benutzen, ODER darauf sitzen. Das Bad ist riesig, mit Mini-Lavabo. Ohne jegliche Abstellfläche. Am ersten Tag wurde das Zimmer gereinigt. Am zweiten Tag nicht. Als wir dies beanstandet haben war die Antwort: Wir hätten das so verlangt. Komisch, am ersten Tag hat es ja funktioniert. Neue Handtücher konnten wir auch nicht bekommen, eine Reinigung sei jetzt nicht möglich, das Personal sei nicht mehr da. Das Bett war so lausig bezogen (viel zu kleines Leintuch) das man nach 2 Minuten auf der nackten Matratze lag. Die absolute Zumutung war das Frühstück: 1 Toastbrot, etwas Butter, Marmelade gab es keine. 3 Gabeln Rührei. EIN Organgenjus ODER Kaffe (nein, beides sei nicht möglich). Unsere Nachfrage, ob es für diesen Uebernachtungspreis wenigstens noch etwas Früchte oder Käse gäbe wurde verneint. Eine absolute Frechheit. Passt jedoch leider zu der Erfahrung, die wir im separat geführten Restaurant in diesem Hotel gemacht wurde. Die Lage der Beach-Bungalows ist toll. Die anderen Zimmer bieten jedoch lediglich Aussicht auf das Hotelgebäude davor. Ich bin überzeugt, dass unsere Kritik mehr als gerechtfertigt ist. Zumal wir für 3 Nächte 700 USD bezahlt haben (Uebernachtung und sogenanntes "Frühstück", falls man dem überhaupt so sagen kann). Die Hotelanlage wurde auf der Homepage ins beste Licht gerückt. Vertrauen Sie nicht darauf, wenn Sie nicht enttäuscht werden möchten. Beim nächsten mal werden wir in den Cabinas Jimenez buchen. Diese Anlage haben wir besichtigt. Sehr freundlich, sauber und auch modern, gleich gute Lage (jedoch 75% preiswerter...) Zu erwähnen ist auch die Anfahrt: 25 Minuten von Puerto Jimenez auf einer Schotterstrasse, die in sehr schlechtem Zustand ist. Nachts unbeleuchtet, mit sehr grossen Schlaglöchern. Ohne eigenes Auto ist dieses Hotel nicht erreichbar.
